Meet Our Attorneys and Consultants
James M. Burns was born in Mobile, Alabama, in 1962. His family moved to Pensacola in 1967. James has lived and worked in the Pensacola area, Escambia County and Santa Rosa Counties of Florida and Baldwin and Mobile counties of Alabama for more than 43 years. James M. Burns is a member of both the Alabama Bar and the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law in both states. Mr. Burns graduated in 1995 from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida, with a degree in Legal Administration, and received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 1999. James achieved Dean's list standing numerous times while attending St. Thomas. He was a research assistant for the Dean of the Law School and competed in the international law moot court competition. He is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Alabama and Florida.
James M. Burns focuses his practice on the areas of criminal defense, family law, personal injury and probate law.
